Lydia Lara was a fantastic instructor for my friend and I and taught us about the basics of aerial yoga and gave us the confidence to try the different techniques. After hearing great things about the Loft, I tried out an aerial class at this studio and have been coming back ever since!

The Loft is a place that allows you to take your aerial training to the next level. All the instructors are accomplished aerialists and have years of teaching experience, so you really got a lot out of each class. The classes are challenging and fun.

The studio itself is a beautiful space, with white walls, high ceilings, and a Womack & Bowman sign which makes for a great background for videos!

The Loft is my home away from home! I started coming consistently a couple of years ago and now I can’t picture my life without this community. The coaches are so talented, patient, and knowledgeable. Each of them has a different super power they bring to the table whether it’s technique, grace, strength, or creativity, so you are getting a special lesson no matter whose class you take.

Some highlights are that the ceilings are higher than most studios, the classes are longer at 90 min, the studio is well maintained and sanitized, the equipment is very safe, and there is water and a clean bathroom available to you. Something else to note is that the classes including beginner are more challenging than other studios I’ve visited. Keep going consistently and you will quickly build your strength.

Shoutout to the coaches I regularly take: Lydia, Kerry, Kat, and Amanda. They are all SO gifted and I have learned so much from each of them. I can’t give the coaches and studio enough praise!

I’ve been training here consistently for a little over a year now and have really transformed as an aerialist. The coaches here are really exceptional and make you feel very safe and supported to try new and challenging skills. I always leave class feeling inspired by those around me and surprised at my ability to accomplish the skills being taught. There’s always something new to learn no matter where you are in your aerial journey. The community here is also really positive and newcomers are always very welcomed to jump in.

Safety is such a big concern in aerial arts and I’ve always felt very safe with regards to the rigging, equipment, environment, etc.

There’s a small lot for parking that is usually open if the class isn’t full but there’s also street parking that’s easily accessible.

Shoutout to my coaches Amanda and Lydia! You both have helped me grow into a more confident aerialist.

I received a gift from a friend for three classes in January and I've been hooked ever since. I don't have any experience in aerial arts so this has been a challenge. However, the instructors are kind and tuned in to the needs of newbies so I feel safe. I look around the class and everyone is smiling. Ok, until the inevitable whimper of pain, but that is part of the learning curve! The students are supportive and cheer each other on in such a beautiful way. I love this place!

I have been lucky enough to train with the instructors from The Loft since their first NoHo location. I have since moved, tried other studios etc. and nothing compares to the level of care and instruction that comes from the Womack & Bowman staff. Every class is challenging yet accessible. The creativity that is shared here is unmatched. I love the studio space but I truly, truly love the staff. Everyone has such unique and lovely offerings each class & I always feel safe. The equipment is well cared for, the ceilings are high and the space is just so inviting. If you’re reading this review wondering if you can “hang” stop reading and just book your class!!

I absolutely love attending my Areail class here! Every time I walk into the studio, I feel happy and energized, ready to learn and challenge myself. The instructors, Lydia, Katrina, Lena, and Jane, are all excellent and clearly have a passion for teaching. They are patient, attentive, and always willing to help out when needed. I haven't taken other's classes, but I am sure the other instructors have an amazing experience as well.

One thing I really appreciate about this class is the strong sense of support and camaraderie among the us and instructors. It makes it easier to ask questions and share ideas without feeling intimidated or judged. This supportive environment helps me to feel more confident and motivated as I work towards my goals.

I highly recommend Womack and Bowman Areail class to anyone who wants to try. The class provides a great learning environment and you will come away with a newfound confidence in your abilities.

RIGGING -
If you’re at all concerned with your safety, rest assured The Loft is EXTREMELY SAFE.

Most people don’t understand or think twice about rigging in an aerial studio, they just assume everything is safe…. Unfortunately in OTHER studios I’ve seen and inspected it’s not.

I’m a contractor and also study and work with rigging, I know the structural integrity of different materials and what will materials work with certain load capacities.

Aside from being one of the few studios that are lucky enough to have steel I-beams with a truss system, the way their hard points are attached is extremely secure. However, they didn’t stop there. They added a safety line to those hard points as a backup just incase something were to happen.

The ropes and pulleys that are used are overkill and oversized and not even needed, so once again The Loft went above and beyond to ensure the safety of their students and all who walk through their doors.

Hopefully this brings reassurance to you and helps get any doubt out of your head if you are or would be safe here so you can enjoy the class from their amazing instructors.
