I went on a Friday afternoon and the morning session was booked. I needed to come back for the evening session. They recommended to come at least 30 minutes before they reopened. When I there was already a line. I was to get a spot just had to wait another hour.
Finally when it was turn and up there it was nice views all around and you are kind of high and it peaceful. I felt like the time of length you in the balloon is just right, which is about 10 minutes.
In the time you are waiting there is a carousel you get on. During the day there is a museum to check. Or just go for a nice walk, really nice park.

Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing well. Today, my family and I had the pleasure of visiting the Great Park Balloon Ride, and I have to say, it exceeded all our expectations. The park itself was absolutely beautiful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. To top it off, there was also a farmers market happening while we were there, adding to the overall atmosphere.

The balloon ride itself was nothing short of spectacular. The views were breathtaking, and it was such a unique and enjoyable experience for all of us. We were so impressed that we're already thinking of planning a second trip in the near future.

Just a heads up - if it's a windy day, the balloon won't take off, so keep that in mind when planning your visit. I highly recommend this experience for families looking for a fun outing together, as well as couples wanting to enjoy a unique and romantic activity. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Beautiful park. The Ballon ride was a really neat and unique experience. You get a 360° view with downtown Irvine, mountains and views for miles. The carousel is really cute too.

Beautiful park. Easy check-in process; make sure you sign the waiver. It's free!! About a 5 minute ride start to finish. I'm not the biggest fan of heights, but this was more than doable and I'd recommend it to anyone in the area.

Waiting (virtual) line exceeded two hours, and we waited and when I asked for the status they said there were still 17 rides ahead of us (2 more hours aprox). We gave up and didn't take the ride. What a shame. Enjoy your ride.

The great Park balloon ride was awesome and it was free! Just got a sign up and and we got standby tickets and we made it like the second to last ride. I think before they closed it was really cool. Going up coming down but next time we’ll do it during the daytime.

I heard about the Park, and decided I wanted to go see it. If the word great is in the name, it must be special.

It is 13,000 acres of land previous El Toro Airbase. Now it is a gigantic sports complex, with every sport represented you can think of.

Incredible place for families to enjoy and no admission fee to enter the grounds.

Great place for picnics and reunions.
