The museum profile has evolved over time as follows: The prehistoric finds on Bisamberg (Burleiten) The Numerous important prehistoric objects from the Neolithic and Bronze Age, Which were excavated mostly in the fifties of the load-century , were first Exhibited on the ground floor of the old municipal office, Anton Hanak The sculptor Anton Hanak was married to a Langenzersdorferin and lived from 1901 to 1923 in Langenzersdorf. On the occasion of his death day there was a small exhibition in the secondary school in 1963/64 . This and the acquisition Part of the artistic estate of the province of Lower Austria led to the plan of a branch of the Lower Austrian State Museum dedicated to Anton Hanak . The former bottling hall of the cellar has been converted into a museum. The Hanak Museum was opened in 1970.

Siegfried Charoux After the death of the sculptor Siegfried Charoux his widow was looking for a suitable place for the extensive artistic estate. She was made aware of the Hanak Museum. She took it as a model and provided the money for the extension. The Charoux Museum which opened.

Tolle Ausstellung.
